     George Fawson Hope Atkin was born in 1896 at Birkenhead, Cheshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Hope Tweedale Atkin and Eva Dawson.¹ He died on 16 July 1916 at France^G, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 4th Battalion, King's Liverpool Regiment.¹
