Reverend Henry Ingilby was born illegitimately on 23 February 1761.1 He was the son of Sir John Ingilby, 4th Bt. and Ann Riggs.2,3 He married Isabella Jane Bates, daughter of Ralph Bates, on 14 September 1786.1 He died on 4 September 1833 at age 72.1

General Sir William Bates Ingilby was born on 30 April 1791.1 He was the son of Reverend Henry Ingilby and Isabella Jane Bates.2 He died on 6 August 1879 at age 88.1
