Major Irvine Low was the son of General Sir John Low and Augusta Ludlow Shakespear.1,2 He married Janet Agnes Harriet Liston Foulis, daughter of Sir William Liston Foulis of Woodhall, 8th Bt. and Mary Anne Cadell, on 29 November 1865.1 He died on 26 June 1881.1,2
