Sir Richard Hardinge, 1st Bt. was born on 10 November 1756.1 He was the son of Nicholas Hardinge and Jane Pratt.2 He married, firstly, Mary Gore, daughter of General Ralph Gore, 1st and last Earl of Ross, on 6 May 1793.1 He married, secondly, Caroline Munster Wulff, daughter of Lt.-Gen. unknown Wulff, on 14 March 1826.1 He died on 5 November 1826 at age 69, without issue.1
He was created 1st Baronet Hardinge, of Belle Isle, co. Fermanagh [U.K.] on 4 August 1801, with special remainder to the heirs male of his father.1
