Sir Egerton Hamond-Graeme, 5th Bt. was born on 23 March 1877.2 He was the son of Sir Graham Eden William Graeme Hamond-Graeme, 4th Bt. and Evelyn Emma Murray Lawes.3,2 He married, firstly, Edith Leatham, daughter of William Leatham, on 30 July 1921.2 He married, secondly, Nora Lonsdale Berry, daughter of J. William Berry and Mary Lonsdale, on 16 September 1953.1,2 He died on 8 November 1969 at age 92.4
He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1898 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He gained the rank of Major in the Hampshire Yeomanry Carabiniers.2 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Hamond [G.B., 1783] on 12 January 1920.2
