     George Dundas was born on 12 November 1819 at Dalmeny, West Lothian, Scotland^G.^1,2 He was the son of James Dundas of Dundas and Hon. Mary Tufton Duncan.³ He married Mary Clark, daughter of Reverend W. Atkinson Clark, in April 1859.¹ He died on 18 March 1880 at age 60.¹
