     Alice Wilhelmina Mary Hay-Newton was the daughter of John Stuart Hay-Newton and Margaret Eliza Fairlie.1,2 She married Frederick William Brown Gustave Fergusson, son of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan, on 17 October 1871.2 She died in 1896, without issue.2
     From 17 October 1871, her married name became Fergusson.

     Frederick William Brown Gustave Fergusson was born on 30 March 1826.1 He was the son of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan.2 He married Alice Wilhelmina Mary Hay-Newton, daughter of John Stuart Hay-Newton and Margaret Eliza Fairlie, on 17 October 1871.1 He died on 20 July 1903 at age 77, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Ayrshire Militia.1

     James Gordon Hay was born on 15 October 1815.1 He was the son of General Lord James Hay and Elizabeth Forbes.1 He married Mary Catherine Cox, daughter of Henry Hill Cox, on 13 November 1878.1 He died on 8 February 1883 at age 67.1
