     Sir Archibald Cockburn of Langton, 5th Bt. was born on 16 November 1687.2 He was the son of Sir Alexander Cockburn of Langton, younger and Elizabeth Mackenzie.1,2 He died circa 15 February 1709/10, unmarried.2 He was buried on 18 February 1709/10 at St. Martin's-in-the-Fields, London, England.2 He died intestate and his estate was administered on 27 April 1711.2
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Cockburn, of Langton, co. Berwicks [N.S., 1627] circa 25 June 1705.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the regiment of the Earl of Orkney.2
