     Barbara Carne was born circa 1521 at Ewenny, Glamorgan, Wales^G.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Edward Carne.² She married Sir Robert Longe, son of Sir Henry Long and Eleanor Wrottesley, in 1546.¹ She died in 1605.¹ She was buried at Draycot, Wiltshire, England^G.¹
     From 1546, her married name became Longe.¹

     Major William Dugald Stuart was born on 18 October 1860.¹ He was the son of William Stuart and Katherine Nicholson.¹ He married Millicent Helen Olivia Hughes, daughter of Captain George William Bulkeley Hughes and Millicent Georgina Montague Dobbs, on 11 July 1893.¹ He died on 2 April 1922 at age 61.¹

     Millicent Helen Olivia Hughes was born circa 1867 at Ireland^G.² She was the daughter of Captain George William Bulkeley Hughes and Millicent Georgina Montague Dobbs.^1,2 She married Major William Dugald Stuart, son of William Stuart and Katherine Nicholson, on 11 July 1893.¹ She died on 2 February 1933.¹
     From 11 July 1893, her married name became Stuart.

     2nd Lt. William Esmé Montague Stuart was born on 22 November 1895.¹ He was the son of Major William Dugald Stuart and Millicent Helen Olivia Hughes.¹ He died on 7 October 1916 at age 20, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal West Kent Regiment.¹
