     Sir Graham Hugh Boyce was born on 6 October 1945.¹ He is the son of Commander Hugh Boyce and Madeleine Manley.¹ He married Janet Elizabeth Spencer, daughter of Reverend Gordon Charles Craig Spencer, on 11 April 1970.¹
     He was educated at Hurstpierpoint School, Hurstpierpoint, Sussex, England^G.¹ He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was in the Diplomatic Service between 1968 and 2003.¹ He held the office of Consul-General to Stockholm between 1987 and 1990.¹ He held the office of Ambassador and Consul-General to Doha between 1990 and 1993.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1991.¹ He held the office of Ambassador to Kuwait between 1996 and 1999.¹ He held the office of Ambassador to Egypt between 1999 and 2001.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 2001.¹

     Janet Elizabeth Spencer is the daughter of Reverend Gordon Charles Craig Spencer.¹ She married Sir Graham Hugh Boyce, son of Commander Hugh Boyce and Madeleine Manley, on 11 April 1970.¹
     From 11 April 1970, her married name became Boyce.¹

     Sir John Boyd, 1st Bt. was born on 29 December 1718.¹ He was the son of John Augustus Boyd and Lucy Peters.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Bumsted, daughter of William Bumsted, on 27 June 1749.¹ He married, secondly, Catherine Chapone, daughter of Reverend John Chapone, on 1 August 1766.¹ He died on 24 January 1800 at age 81.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in February 1800.¹
     He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 16 February 1736/37.¹ Circa 1775 the estate of Danson was vested in him by Parliament, and he erected 'a most elegant mansion of Portland stone and gave it the name of Danson Hill.¹' He was created 1st Baronet Boyd, of Danson, co. Kent [Great Britain] on 2 June 1775.¹
