     He held the office of Chief Remembrancer of the Court of the Exchequer.1 He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.)1 He lived at Murlough, County Down, Ireland.1 He lived at Lish, County Armagh, Ireland.1

     He gained the rank of Major in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.1
