Alan Frederick Hogg was born on 30 October 1868.1 He was the son of Sir Stuart Saunders Hogg and Selina Catherine Perry.2 He died on 6 December 1934 at age 66, unmarried.1
He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was a practising barrister.1 He held the office of Attorney-General [Nyasaland Protectorate] between 1914 and 1918.1 He held the office of Attorney-General [Uganda Protectorate] in 1918.1 He was Acting Chief Secretary and Deputy Governor in 1922.1

Frederick Stapleton Dickey Hogg was born on 19 September 1859.1 He was the son of Sir Frederick Russell Hogg and Emily Eckford.2 He married Maude Amelia Howes, daughter of Arthur Wynnson Howes, in 1895.1 He died on 5 April 1937 at age 77.1
