     Jessie Cowper Coles Laird was born in March 1871 at Birkenhead, Cheshire, England^G.^1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of Henry Hyndman Laird and Jessie Carmichael.⁴ She married Brig.-Gen. Geoffrey Meinertzhagen Jackson, son of Rt. Hon. Thomas Hughes Jackson and Hermine Meinertzhagen, on 1 March 1893 at Cheshire, England^G.^1,4 She died on 3 September 1945 at age 74.⁴
