     Sir Hew Crawfurd-Pollok, 5th Bt. was born in 1843 at Pollok Castle, Renfrewshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of Sir Hew Crawfurd-Pollok, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Oswald Dunlop.¹ He married Annie Elizabeth Green on 8 June 1871.¹ He died on 14 December 1885 at Dover, Kent, England^G, in a hotel coffee room, suddenly, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Renfrew Militia.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Crawfurd, of Kilbirnie, co. Ayr [N.S., 1628] on 5 March 1867.¹ On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     Annie Elizabeth Green married Sir Hew Crawfurd-Pollok, 5th Bt., son of Sir Hew Crawfurd-Pollok, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Oswald Dunlop, on 8 June 1871.¹ She died after 1901.¹
     She lived at Hull, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ From 8 June 1871, her married name became Crawfurd-Pollok.¹
