     Jane Mary Anne Des Voeux was the daughter of Sir Charles Des Voeux, 2nd Bt. and Christina Hird.1 She married Sir Charles Eurwicke Douglas, son of Rt. Hon. Charles Philip Yorke, on 24 December 1832 at Trinity, Marylebone, London, England.1,2 She died on 12 November 1873.1
     From 1832, her married name became Douglas.1

     Sir Charles Eurwicke Douglas was born illegitimately.2 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Charles Philip Yorke. He married Jane Mary Anne Des Voeux, daughter of Sir Charles Des Voeux, 2nd Bt. and Christina Hird, on 24 December 1832 at Trinity, Marylebone, London, England.1,3 He died on 21 February 1887.1
     He graduated from St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1828 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was Private Secretary to Secretary of State for the Colonies, Lord Ripon between 1830 and 1834.2 He graduated from St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1831 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was appointed Knight on 12 October 1832.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Warwick between 1837 and 1852.1 He was King of Arms of the Order of St. Michael and St. George.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Banbury between May 1859 and 1865.2 He was director of the London and North Western Railway.2
